Mary Scherer’s career in financial services has spanned private, consumer, retail and investment banking, mortgage and asset-back trading, retirement services, securities and capital markets. She has a track record of developing and executing solutions in complex environments.
Ms. Scherer has focused on new product and process implementations and on operational transformations. Most recently she led conversions/implementations of middle and back office systems at Deutsche Bank Investment bank. Concurrently, she managed numerous process improvement workflow projects to reduce operational and compliance risks and improve efficiency. In the Bank’s Retirement Services Group, she led deployment of new products for custody and accounting clients.
At Citibank, Ms. Scherer’s extensive career included marketing and business management of the internet channel for Private Banking clients in 38 countries, MBS trading and the development of new asset securitization capabilities, establishment of corporate-wide Knowledge Management practice, and strategic planning for mortgage banking business.
She received a B.A. magna cum laude from University of Notre Dame. She is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma Black Belt trained, and experienced in leading change management initiatives.
