Situation

A fund administrator had a growing business and an expanding number of investment types. To accommodate this business evolution, it needed to consolidate multiple legacy systems and convert them to state-of-the-art real-time accounting.

Created strategy and plan for quality assurance and for data conversion.
Developed test requirements and test plan.
Recommended testing tools and best-practice methods for using them.

Obstacles

The firm was a global organization with many stakeholders in each region and business unit. In addition, there were delays in receiving required product enhancements from the accounting system vendor.

Results

Our structured QA methodology provided thorough and efficient QA and UAT tests that could be repeated when the accounting system vendor delivered new releases. The product was successfully implemented and is in productive use.
